Workshop | Stories on surface – Ceramic Print at the ceramic department of Vilnius Art Academy

 October 2026: Five-day practice-based workshop questioning the role of surface treatments in ceramics. He is integrated in the Drawing and Printing Ceramics Module of VAA. The aim is to create unique surfaces linked to each student's personal project. Based on my academic and artistic research in this field, this hands-on workshop will focus on the experimental combination of different surface treatments and variations in firing temperatures, as well as mechanical interventions before or after firing, such as carving, sanding and diamond polishing. Proposed techniques: Inlay, drawing on bisque fired pieces, ceramic decals and overglaze painting.
